Mayanoki is an omakase sushi restaurant in New York City focused solely on serving sustainably sourced seafood. Under the leadership of Chef Josh van den Berg, the East Village restaurant works directly with a number of ocean conservation organizations to ensure they are continually adhering to best practices when it comes to sourcing sustainable seafood. These programs include the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program and the James Beard Smart Catch program. With just eight dinners served a week, and allowing ten people per tasting, guests are served in a traditional multi-course omakase format in an intimate setting.
